About Youth for Tomorrow

More than 30 years ago, the great Coach Joe Gibbs was heartbroken to see so many local children living in devastating circumstances. Inspired to do something to make a difference, he gathered a group of prominent business leaders and friends; together, they pooled their resources and harnessed their shared vision, and Youth For Tomorrow was born. What started as a small group home for a handful of boys has grown into a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that serves thousands of children—now boys AND girls—and families every year, not just on its residential campus but also now in 6 outpatient regional offices and in public schools across the Northern Virginia region.

On its residential campus in Bristow, Virginia, young people in crisis find love and a second chance supported by a dedicated team of house parents, counselors, teachers, volunteers, foster parents and mentors; education in YFT’s fully accredited secondary school; world-class behavioral health services and intensive therapy; campus ministry opportunities to grow in faith and purpose; and job and life skills training.

At its 6 outpatient regional offices throughout Northern Virginia, adolescents, families and adults benefit from YFT’s mental health counseling and substance abuse programs.

From the residential campus to our outpatient and in-school programs, YFT’s unwavering mission is to transform lives that were once broken and helpless into lives of hope, healing and a brighter future.
